CrossFit Megalodon started the Masters Program in December 2015 designed specifically towards our older athletes who may not want to jump right into our regular CrossFit classes…yet.
We recognize that while CrossFit is broad, general, inclusive, and scale-able, it’s a fact that our older athletes have different needs based on a number of things including pre-existing injuries, health issues, longer recovery times, decreased muscle and bone density, etc. At CrossFit Megalodon, we recognize that at this stage in their lives, many of our members want to be the healthiest and strongest they can be. We want to provide a safe and fun environment for this to happen!
We promise you that the Masters classes aren’t any easier, they’re just different. Meaning, these aren’t scaled down versions of regular CrossFit workouts, these are as intense and difficult as anything you see for the regular CrossFit Megalodon workout of the day (WOD). The difference is that they are done in an environment of peers with special consideration to the unique needs of our older and/or beginner athletes.
The Masters class currently meets three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:30am.
